Milani Color Statement Lipstick Haul & Swatches

It hasn’t even been a week into 2014 and I’m already hauling up some new goodies! It has been so long since I’ve shopped for drugstore makeup but I’ve been hearing about some really nice products that I can’t resist. One of the first products on my list were the new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks.

The Color Statement Lipsticks aren’t necessarily new but Milani recently relauched the line with a new formula. This is my first time trying any Milani lipsticks so the Color Statement lippies are totally new to me. The packaging features a shiny plastic gold design with colored caps on the bottom to help identify the color. It does feel a little cheap because it’s super light but it looks chic and high end. The only thing I don’t like about the packaging is that it’s a finger print magnet, of course. Otherwise, it looks pretty good!

I picked up 3 berry toned shades that are just beautiful! Black Cherry is a deep plum with a cream finish. Uptown Mauve is a bright violet mauve with a cream finish. Sangria is a mid-tone berry with a cream finish. The moment I swatched these lippies I fell in love! They’re very creamy and super pigmented with just one swipe. I haven’t tried them on yet so I can’t rave about the formula but I can’t get enough of the colors I picked. Black Cherry is what I was hoping MAC Talk That Talk would be. Uptown Mauve was what I wanted Private Party to look like. Sangria is everything and more I thought MAC Heaux was going to be like when I first saw the promo pics. These are THE fall/winter shades I’ve been looking for! I can’t wait to start trying them on! Have you tried the Milani Color Statement lippies?
