I bet you thought I forgot about the rest of my Revlon Legacy Super Lustrous lipsticks didn’t you? Not a chance! I’ll admit, I got a little sidetracked with the MAC Playland and Proenza Schouler collections but I’m back on track and ready to share my Super Lustrous lipstick reviews with you. I already gave you the rundown on Icy Violet and Snow Peach lipsticks. Now the spotlight is on Fifth Ave Red! Take a peek!
I don’t know what’s come over me lately but I’ve been loving red lips! I didn’t think too much of Fifth Ave Red when I first hauled it but I was quite impressed when I slipped it on! None of the Legacy Collection lipsticks have the finish printed on the label (like the permanent colors) but I’m pretty sure Fifth Ave Red has a creme finish which is by far my favorite of the Super Lustrous line. The formula is incredibly easy on the lips! I don’t really have to worry about exfoliating or prepping with a balm. Fifth Ave Red hugs my lips without emphasizing dry patches or settling into lip lines.
Fifth Ave Red is a creamy cool blue red shade that applies buttery smooth and gives your pout a sexy, classic feel. It’s not too bright or too dark so it’s a perfect everyday red shade. I didn’t feel out of place one bit sporting Fifth Ave Red during my morning errands. It’s such an easy to wear red! The finish is very creamy and isn’t drying at all I get around 4-6 hours of comfortable wear before it begins to stain and fade. Fifth Ave Red is quite a lovely lipstick! It gives such a sexy, classic pin up feel without looking like you’re trying too hard. I totally recommend it! Fifth Ave Red is limited edition and I’ve been told it’s been a little difficult to track down. I was able to find mine in a separate display in the next aisle over from cosmetics at my local CVS. I really hope you guys are able to find these lipsticks! They’re a beautiful blast from the past!
