Last month really brought the heat here in Michigan and in the makeup world! I hauled my butt off last month and fell for some pretty amazing products! All of my faves are pretty new to my collection but I’ve definitely come across some staples. Check it out!

MAC Golden Elixir Strobe Liquid – This stuff is amazing! Who needs a bronzer when you have an amazing all over illuminator?> I’ve used this liquid gold with liquid and powder foundation as well as alone for a highlighter. I wish I would have gotten two!

MAC Ripe for Love blush – I haven’t really bothered with blush in a while but I found myself reaching for this blush all the time. It’s the perfect peach blush! Not too pink. Not too orange. Just right! I love that MAC finally came out with a peach blush that’s brown girl friendly. It looks so warm and natural!

MAC RiRi Boy lipstick – I just love this lipstick! It’s a beautiful lavender matte lipstick that looks flattering on everyone. RiRi boy is beautiful alone but I love pairing it with pink and purple liners to spice it up a bit. I love it so much I bought a backup!

Dior Color Reviving Lip Glow balm – You guys already know I love this balm! I’ve raved about it before (check out my review!) but I don’t mind doing it again. It’s very moisturizing and gives me a nice subtle pink glow. It makes all of my lipsticks much more wearable.

MAC Heaux lipstick – Like RiRi Boy I also purchased a backup of Heaux because the formula is truly amazing. Heaux is a deep berry red shade that makes me feel super sexy and grown up. I’m not usually a fan of red lipstick but I just can’t stop wearing it!

MAC Sun Power Mineralize Skinfisnih – This stuff is gold! It looks so natural and flawless! I wear it as a finishing powder sometimes but I mostly use it alone with my beauty blender. I love how I can just toss it on and it evens out and brightens my face. It’s a must have!

MAC Double Definition Extra Dimension Skinifinish – Bronzer heaven! This is definitely one of my favorite highlighters. It has a soft gold and a deep bronze side that looks great blended or alone. It gives the most beautiful glow without looking super sparkly.

Can you believe it’s May already?? This year is blazing by! April was an extremely busy month with me getting another job, wrapping up the semester and kicking off my freelance makeup artist career but I still managed to fall in love with some new goodies!

 • MAC Double Definition Extra Dimension Skinfinish – This has become my go to highlighter! It’s super shimmery and gives the most gorgeous bronze glow. Plus it’s like two highlighters in one! It’s a summer MUST HAVE! Check out my full review!
 • Lush Mint Julips lip scrub – This is the best lip exfoliator I’ve ever used! It leaves my lips feeling super soft and supple. A miracle for dry, cracked lips! My lipsticks look and wear so much better when I use this scrub prior to application.
 • Mirabella Prime Face & Eye primer – I received this primer in my Ipsy December Glam Bag but I wish I would have tried it sooner. I love it! It minimizes my pores and fines lines wonderfully. It’s an excellent makeup base!
 • CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus eyeliner – I almost forgot how awesome this pencil is! I use it for my brows and I just love it. It’s creamy without being waxy and it looks sooo natural. I’m glad I bought another!
 • Milani UltraFine liquid eyeliner – I’m usually not a fan of liquid liners because they’re a little tricky to use but this liner is so easy to use! It’s like a brush but has the sturdiness and feel of a felt tip. I get a clean sharp line every time I use it!
 • MAC Silly & Embrace Me lip liners – MAC makes some of the best lip liners! These pencils are super pigmented and creamy. Not to mention they go great with just about every lipstick or own their own!
 • MAC Opulash Optimum Black mascara – I honestly only got this mascara because I loved the packaging (LOL) but to my surprise it’s a pretty awesome mascara! It makes my lashes look super long and it adds a bit of volume too! I haven’t touched my Benefit They’re Real mascara since I’ve started using this!
 • Revlon Nearly Naked pressed powder – OMG HOLY GRAIL! This was the first all over face powder I’ve tried and I can’t get enough of it. It’s very soft, controls shine well and has pretty nice coverage. Not to mention it gives the most flawless finish! It’s so great I actually use it as a foundation!

March was quite an exhausting month! I had a ton going on but I still managed to fall in love with literally a TON of products! I was supposed to be on a makeup no buy (which was a slight fail lol) last month so I spent a lot time trying new skincare products and perfume as well as trying out some makeup goodies I’ve barely touched. Although my makeup no buy wasn’t a complete success I’m glad I put myself up to the challenge because I’ve discovered some gems I don’t know how I survived without! Check it out!
