LORAC PRO Palette Review

This review is so long overdue! I hauled the LORAC Pro Palette last year for my birthday and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since! Naked who? I almost completely abandoned my original Naked palette because the PRO palette is soo good! I’ve already made dips in several shades and actually hit pan on shadow. It’s become my go to palette!

The packaging is simple yet chic. The PRO palette comes in an incredibly slim magnetic casing with silver accents. It’s very lightweight and easy to travel with. The LORAC PRO palette is one of the few eyeshadow palettes I pack with me for EVERY gig! It’s so portable and versatile! Inside you’ll find a nice sized mirror and 16 neutral eyeshadows in a variety of finishes from shimmer to matte. The top half of the palette is completely matte while the bottom half contains the more shimmery shades. I’m completely impressed with the color selection and the fact that there are just as many mattes as shimmery shadows. I prefer to keep the shimmer to my lid (and maybe brow bone) so it’s refreshing to have a palette that isn’t overrun by glitter.

Now here’s where all the magic happens! All of the eyeshadows in the PRO palette are very pigmented, buttery and blend very well. Including the mattes! They’re some of the best matte shadows I have ever tried! Although the shadows are buttery soft I don’t get much fallout and they don’t feel powdery. Each shade is silky to the touch and easily picked up with both natural and synthetic hair brushes. Without primer I easily get over 8 hours of wear before I notice any fading. I do have drier lids though so oily gals will probably fare much better with a good ol’ primer underneath! On top of primer, these shadows have carried me through a long night and the next morning! LORAC definitely knows how to do eyeshadows! I honestly can’t think of one bad thing to say about the LORAC PRO palette. It has 6 more eyeshadows than the Urban Decay Naked palette and is $10 cheaper ($42). I just hate that the brand is being phased out of Sephora so it’s no longer available there. But there’s always Ulta and Nordstrom!

I told you guys I had a review coming for ya! I don’t usually do nail polish reviews (I probably should huh?) but I always get so many compliments when I wear this polish. I feel like I just have to review it because it’s soo beautiful! Major thanks to Ipsy because if I hadn’t received this beauty in one of my glam bags I probably wouldn’t have tried it.

Manicure Monday!

Why hello darlings! As fall approaches I find my schedule clearing up and my passion for beauty bursting out. It feels so good to be able to update regularly again! Anywho! I recently got my nails and I’m just loving them!! I mentioned to you guys before that I’m trying to branch out from pink nails. I literally wear pink polish ALL of the time! This week I went with a bright mint QRS nail polish I saw at the salon. I can’t live without a little glitter on my nails (of course) so I accented my ring fingers with gold and green glitter from my Nailtini Millionaire polish. I forgot how much I loved this polish! I’ll have to review it asap because it’s so awesome! What’s on your nails this week?

MAC Double Definition Extra Dimension Skinfinish Review

 photo 20130414_113355_zpsb921f01b.jpg

I fell in love with MAC’s Extra Dimension Skinfinish formula last year when I hauled Whisper of Guilt from the Glamour Daze collection so I couldn’t wait for In Extra Dimension collection to be released! These highlighters are so beautiful it’s impossible to buy just one! They’re similar to the Mineralize Skinfinish highlighters except they’re more metallic and they feature this beautiful wave design. Not to mention they give the most gorgeous glow!
