I’m all for saving a few bucks here and there but sometimes it’s nice to splurge and treat yourself. I can never help myself when it comes to Chanel because everything is just so darn luxurious! March Ipsy Glam Bag

I’m usually soo excited about my glam bags from Ipsy but lately I’ve been a little disappointed. Last month’s bag was a bit of a disappointment but this month turned out to be a bit better. I have to rave about the bag design this month though. I LOVE it! The whole nautical theme is just so hot to me! Here’s a rundown of what was inside:

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist – I’ve been on such a skincare kick lately so I’m pretty excited to see this mist included! It’s formulated with white grape juice, rosehip, glycerin and more and has a nice semi-sweet floral smell. It’s actually pretty hydrating! I like it! I think it’ll make a nice toner.

LA Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover – These wipes actually impressed me! They removed my makeup pretty well. Even my waterproof liner and mascara! It’s not the most gentle as it stung my eye area a bit but they definitely get the job done. Makes me miss having makeup wipes around!

Yaby Cosmetics Eyeshadow Refills – After ordering from Coastal Scents a few times I’m kind of tired of seeing these mini eyeshadow pans. I’m not sure why but I never use them. To be honest I didn’t think I would like these shadows until I tried them. I saw some swatches on instagram and they looked super stiff, dry and chalky. But the texture actually feels pretty nice! Very soft and silky. The lighter shadow, Sand Dune, was pretty sheer on me. However, So Vein is beautiful! I just love green and receiving this before St Patrick’s Day is just perfect! Check out the swatch below!

GlamRX Mini Freestyle Palette – I was so disappointed with this until I was told it was a palette LOL! I thought it was just a mirror. Kinda turned my grown upside down! I wish it was a little bigger but it’s still really nice to have for my mini eyeshadow pans. Not to mention I have a La Femme blush pan lying around working for a home!

Honestly, I was disappointed when I first opened my glam bag this month but I’m kind of digging it right now! It actually wasn’t too bad. I’m looking forward to more makeup samples though! Click here to sign up!

Another Homemade Brush Cleanser

image

I showed you guys one way to clean your makeup brushes using household items and now I have another! If you didn’t know, olive oil is excellent at gently removing makeup and has great moisturizing properties so it’s no surprise it’s in yet another cleansing solution. I found that using a bit of dish detergent with about a cap full of olive oil makes cleaning your brushes quick and easy! Plus depending on the detergent you use your brushes can come out smelling amazing. I tried this method the last time I cleaned my brushes and it removed the gunk almost instantly. The detergent strips away the dirt and the olive oil leaves my bristles silky soft. Definitely worth a try!

Day 3: Weird Makeup Tips & Secrets

Day 3 of my 30 Day Makeup Challenge is here and it bears tips for you guys!

1. I’ve learned online that using castor oil on your brows and lashes promotes growth. So I put some on at night and wash it off in the morning. I’ve been doing this for a few months and I definitely see a difference. Both my brows and lashes are much thicker!

The Best & Most Gentle Makeup Remover

If you’ve been searching for the most perfect and gentle makeup remover then look no further than your kitchen cabinet.  That’s right ladies.  You’ve been holding on to it all this time! Good ol’ olive oil is great for just about everything! Including wiping away even the toughest of waterproof mascaras.  I’ve been using the wonder oil in my hair for about a year now but once I read about how nicely it cleans and hydrates your face I decided to give it a try.  I’ve been hooked ever since! Every night, I take either a cotton ball or just use my hands and gently massage all of the makeup right off the canvas.  When I’m done, I simply wash my face and enjoy my clean, soft and supple skin until it’s time to start the process all over.  If you haven’t already give olive oil a try! You’ll be amazed at how well it tackles whatever you toss it.
