It is hard finding limited edition drugstore collections! I can’t tell you how long I stalked my local CVS and Walgreens to track down the new Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Summer Collection. I can say that I’m crazy excited to finally get my hands on the new limited edition lipsticks though! They were well worth the hunt!
Joining the CVS Beauty Club was a gift and a curse for me! I’m always up to date on the latest sales and receiving coupons which makes me want to shop even more. It’s a never ending cycle! I feel like it’s literally been forever since I’ve popped into my local drugstore to stalk the makeup aisles. And you know what? I actually miss it! There’s a lot of perks that come with high end makeup shopping but nothing is more satisfying than a good cheap makeup haul. It’s so nice to grab a few goodies without breaking the bank!
When I first started hearing about Fergie teaming up with Wet n Wild I got a little excited. Especially when I noticed the shimmer palettes that were included! They reminded me a lot of the MAC Mineralize Sinfinish highlighters so I was really interested in trying them. I had my eye on the Rose Champagne and the Carnival in Rio palettes but I decided to go with Carnival in Rio because it was a bit darker and looked a bit like the Superb Mineralize Skinfinish I skipped when MAC released their Glamour Daze collection.
Since December I’ve been on the lookout for the new Wet n Wild Fergie collection and my local Walgreens FINALLY got it in stock! The entire collection looked lovely but I was really interested in the shimmer palettes. I’m not sure why they’re called palettes because they aren’t palettes at all. They’re actually really beautiful baked highlighters. I loved the way Rose Gold looked but I just had to have Carnival in Rio. It reminded me a lot of the Superb Minerlize Skinfinish I skipped when MAC released it in their Glamour Daze collection. I tried it on the second I got home and I LOVE it!! It’s super gorgeous. I can’t wait to swatch and review it for you guys! Along with Carnival in Rio I picked up some Rimmel lip liners. I tried one of the 1000 Kisses liners recently and I really liked it so I doubled back to try some more. I got a couple of retractable ones too that I hope I like. I made sure to pick neutral colors to pair with some of my nude lippies. I haven’t really tried them yet but I did swatch them and they all applied very smoothly and had nice color payoff.
